Megan Milstead is the founder and CEO of COVERD Greater Cincinnati.
MEGAN MILSTEAD
CEO & FOUNDER

In 2014, Megan was pregnant with her second child and learned diapers are not covered by food stamps or WIC. She read stories about babies being left in the same diaper for days, disposable diapers being reused, and the infections children get from a lack of clean diapers. As a parent, she couldn’t imagine what it would feel like to not be able to provide for the basic needs of your babies, and tried to find a diaper bank in Cincinnati to volunteer with. When nothing turned up, an idea took shape, and Megan envisioned an organization that could work with social service agencies in Cincinnati to make sure every baby in the city she loves had clean diapers. In the fall of 2015, Megan attended the Unpolished Conference for entrepreneurs at Crossroads Church in Oakley, and it proved to be the spark she needed to stop ignoring the call she felt to start a diaper bank. Just a few days after the conference, Megan had an amazing team in place ready to throw their support and talents into starting Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, and she’s been working hard to create a thriving program for families in need ever since. In February of 2017, Megan made the move to Sweet Cheeks full time.

Nick Reynolds is the Director of Program and Operations for COVERD Greater Cincinnati.
NICK REYNOLDS
DIRECTOR OF PROGRAM AND OPERATIONS

A Cincinnati native, Nick completed his BA at Loyola University Chicago, and served in Seattle with Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, where he met his talented wife Sarah. Since then, he has gained experience managing nonprofit programs serving folks on the margins in the fields of mental health, developmental disabilities, and food access. He is ecstatic to be the father of two, which has made the need for diapers and other supplies in our community feel all the more urgent and personal. Nick enjoys spending time woodworking, gardening, being outdoors, traveling, and spending time at home with family and friends.

Sara Plaskett is the Development Manger for COVERD Greater Cincinnati.
SARA PLASKETT
DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Sara is a Cincinnati native, born and raised on the West Side. She lives with her husband and two boys only minutes from her childhood home. Sara studied at Ohio University where she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree. In addition, she completed internships at Sesame Workshops and PBS Kids.  In 2015, Sara started working at Crayons to Computers and saw first-hand the life-long effect poverty can have on children. While there, she started her work in Development and found that she took to it very well. Sara is someone who loves a good spreadsheet and seeing how data translates into stories. Becoming a mom made Sara realize how expensive diapers can be and how hard that can be on a family, so she is thrilled to bring her skills to Sweet Cheeks to help families in need.

Margie Powell is the Volunteer & Support Coordinator for COVERD Greater Cincinnati.
